I love Los Angeles! I had the pleasure of visiting LA in March along with my daughter who was participating in a show choir competition. My daughter spent most of her time with the choir, so I explored LA on my own. This was not my first time in LA. I spent my summers there as a teen with relatives. I really didn’t appreciate the opportunity to spend my summers in LA back then. I was too busy missing my friends back home to REALLY enjoy it.
I have traveled to LA several times for business as well. I just can’t get enough of LA. I love it!
Day One: I went to Huntington Beach. This was my first time visiting this beach and it was great. Bustling with activity, people everywhere, live music, food, shops and best of all – bike rental options. I went for a lovely bike ride along the boardwalk and had a nice lunch at Duke’s restaurant.
I decided to keep it casual on this trip. My Coach hat and sunglasses were perfect for the beach. It was windy! I chose to wear jean capri pants along with a fitted t-shirt. Casual and perfect for bike riding.
Day Three: I drove around the lovely neighborhoods of LA, including Melrose Place, Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills and more. It was so much fun driving through LA. This was a first for me. The only thing that could have made it better is if I was driving a convertible.
Day Four: Manicure! There was a spa on every corner, and on some corners, there were two. Manicures and pedicures are REALLY inexpensive in LA. Afterwards, I went for a long drive along the Pacific Coast Highway.
Until next time LA! See you again soon.
